Prevention Of Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease is known to be incurable after it strikes. It is considered fatal. However, some ways of preventing the disease to strike, or delaying the occurrence can be possible for those who may consider themselves prone to the disease, due to genetic factors or owing to pre-conceived tendencies of it. Memory loss at an old age can be a deceptive symptom that most people tend to give away as a general problem. However, considering tendencies of Alzheimer's disease may not unrealistic.

Preventing or delaying the strike of Alzheimer's can be carried out with some exercises, specially cared nutrition and excess intellectual activity which prevent the brain cells from getting eroded by making them stronger or more active. Genetic or age factors are crucial as most scientists do not believe in the alteration of either. However, researches targeted at resolving the tendencies or factors of Alzheimer's are on. Most scientists conclude that a healthy lifestyle and environmental factors may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease.

Some ways to prevent or delay Alzheimer's disease are -

- Juice intake - It has been found that a considerable suppression of risk of Alzheimer's disease can be obtained by the intake of fruit / vegetable juices. An Alzheimer attack primarily targets brain cells disrupting functioning and memory recall capabilities. Minerals and vitamins that are present in most fruits and vegetables are sources of nourishment for the brain. The intake of juices shields the brain cells from erosion. In studies that included recording the health patterns of more than 1000 subjects over ten years, it has been reported that people with a juice intake of 3 - 4 times a week reduce the risk up to 76 percent.

- Physical activity - Another source of nutrition for brain cells is physical exercise. An increase in physical activity is said to send more blood-oxygen to the brain, which provides nutrition and a longer life. The erosion under an Alzheimer's syndrome can be prevented or delayed by insulating the brain cells from the disease. It has been observed that for those who involve themselves in 15 minutes of rigorous exercise more than 3 times a week, chances of Alzheimer's risks go down at least 30 to 40 percent.

- Dietary and medication factors - It has been established by researches carried out by reputed organizations and institutes that an intake of a proper balanced diet which ensures complete nutrition, can prove to be good enough for the brain cells to shield against Alzheimer's. A heavy dosage of fruits and vegetables, those which are abundant in Mediterranean diets are almost certain to prevent Alzheimer's. Medication of certain drugs like NSAID's (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) and antioxidants can infuse a trigger of functioning in the brain cells and delay Alzheimer's. Immunization against Alzheimer's has proven highly risky in experiments carried out decades back, but refinement of the possible drugs is on in premier medical institutes.

Age being the primary factor, an all in all prevention of the aging process usually contains Alzheimer's disease.
